Ok guys,
I was thinking about this :
USING VDJ WITH ONLY ONE TURNTABLE, WITHOUT AN EXTERNAL SOUNDCARD (MAYA44) AND A DXM01 USB mixer
Before buying any DJ software, I wanna be sure of my setup, so look:
- Step 1 : Hook up the phono outputs of the turntable to the line-in of your laptop using a Y female RCA-3.5mm adapter -» IS THAT POSSIBLE?? Can this adapter accept a phono signal?
- Step 2 : Download and install ASIO4ALL
- Step 3 : Using a Vinyl timecode, configure ASIO4ALL options and the timecode options in VDJ
- Step 4 : Plug in the DXM01 USB mixer, (theres two soundcards in it), so 1 usb cable to deck 1, 1 usb cable to deck 2
- Final step : You can control the song with the vinyl, switch from deck 1 to deck 2 using the tab key and control all the effects from your keyboard (or buy a novation dicer!!)
Step 1 is the akward part of this setup, since I am not sure standard RCA female jacks can accept a PHONO signal? If not, then my solution would be to have a ASIO soundcard with only 1 input (1 table) or 2 inputs (2 tables).
Nevertheless, this seems like an interesting setup!!
Give any ideas !!
