Hi,
How can I use to change the VDJ samples to am MP3? Is there a program I can download. I have tried to convert it with no luck.

Just VDJ itself. Just do everything you would do when you record a set. Load up your samples press record, play the sample and boom, there you go mp3 format.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advise. I will record and convert using VDJ. I have conversion software but it would not convert the .VDJ file.

@Billyzee, just record it and save to your desktop with VDJ cause VDJ records in MP3 format.

I think everyone is talking about two different things..

the sampler function (that records a sample and saves it as a .vdj file)
and the record function which records off the soundcard and saves it as an .mp3 file..

sooo.. question is. (and i think what the original question was?)

Can you take the original .vdj sampler file and rename it to an .mp3 file?
would that work?

I'm sure it was mentioned in the forums somewhere, but I can't find it...
What audio format is the .vdj sampler file?? mp3? .wav?

It's like "ogg" or something like that. I think were all on the same page just each a different way of getting there, lol.

just go to : Documents\VirtualDJ\Sampler
Copy/Paste all your desire samples to a new folder in desktop or any where else
GO to that made folder, hold Shift then Right click, and pick "Open command windows here"
In CMD write this command : ren *.vdj *.ogg

Here you go, BOOM

under the "master" section go down to about the middle of the screen. there you see "record/broadcast mix" hit the button that says "FILE" then choose the save destination and hit "start recording"
