Topic: video freeze fix?? Help Ive tired everything! 9/20/10

Hello I have a new Asus G73jh i7 processor with 8 GB plus 8 GB of virtual ram of ram the ati radeon 5870 with VDJ 6.0.7.

ive searched through the forum and havent found any answers that have worked. from what i have read VDJ doesnt like the newer video cards. I did what ppl recommend and went into the registry and played around with the video mem free and the video mem max use with little or no result. I even downloaded the lastest ati drivers with no effect grrrrrr. I also have the problem with songs not loading all the way when i drag a new song and then eventually I had this happen twice at a gig the other night at some point when i go to load a song it says error! and it does that to anysong i load and wont go away untill I restart vdj. Has there been a fix to this mess with vdj 6.0.7 and the newer video cards?????????? and i will be HONEST i have a cracked version vdj 6.0.7 and would love and will buy the legit version because i really want to get access to all the cool stuff on the site but i must know has this issuse been fixed 100% ?????????? Ive read on here ppl complaning of buying a legit copy and having problems!

Throw the crack out and download the latest trial, http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html. And youll always have more problems with a crack which most of the time is a cracked trial.

I actually already did! To see if there was a difference I had went and deleted cracked vdj and even went and deleted the registry values to start fresh. I then downloaded the lastest trial version 6.1.2 i believed the loading songs problems went away, but i was a problem with my music videos flickering!! a bit it wasnt super bad its still flickering at times on every video I play. Can anyone tell me if there has a been a fix for this issuse?
 
Do the same videos play ok on another video player such as VLC, Itunes, WMP? Push Cntrl-R, type dxdiag then click ok. Run the Direct X and Open GL tests if available and note any errors and flickering. What is Virtual RAM?

I just played a couple of video using windows media player and they work fine so for sure its a virtual dj problem with the lasted virtual dj tiral I was getting flickering through out the video even tired playing the registry values but nothing... when I was using the cracked 6.0.7 its was freezing tired playing with it but no luck fixing... like i said I really want to buy a legit version if I know am not gonna have problems. Am really considering buying the vms4 controller them upgrading the vdj LE that it comes with. Am just really frustrated I can't seem to get any answers and it kinda stinks that I cant read alot of the forum talking about the issuse since I dont have the creaditials

I ran the dxdiag and ran the test and everything came up working fine.

Virtual Ram? On newer computers and labtops you use SD card, flash drive etc. and dedicate it and use it as memory, pretty cool uh I bought a 8GB sd card and dedicate as more memory so I have 8GB physical memory and another 8GB virtual memory
 
 
There is a thread with a workaround for the video freeze for most users but I can't find it right now.

Thanks for but I already played around with changing the registry values using the tiral version I was still getting some flickering playing videos
 
I have the same computer and am having the exact same issues with VDJ pro. The program will work fine for about 20 minutes, then my video start to flicker and freeze on in all of the preview windows and the output to the projectors. Also it will only load a small bit of a song stop, then will not load the next segment of song or video until it has already played the song to that point. Also, if I use the text effect, I can only use it once then it will freeze up if I try to change the text. Any help would be great, already updated all my drivers so that's not an issue.

i have a dell studio xps with a i7 chip 8 gigs basically the same thing and have the exact same problems, We need a fix please!
 
I still haven't figured out if theres a fix for this problem... sucks... I wrote 2 messages to virtual dj about the problem and its been over a week and it shows that they haven't even read the message yet... Ive tired everything... It seems like no body know about a fix for this problem. am just not happy that I spend 1200 bucks for a labtop that virtual dj doesnt work correctly on... so am stuck have to use my desktop for gigs that works completely fine since its a couple years old and I dont get the video freezing and etc issuses with it..

So what setting did you use when you were playing around...

I did what it said which was to change te video ram to half which would be 503 and then changed the video mem max use to 128 and played around using one or the other or both... it seemed to somewhat work beter but I was still having problems.. and no matter what i do i still keep getting the issuse of my songs only load little a little bit the majority of the time.
 
What you are supposed to do is determine what the dedicated memory of the video card is, not change anything in that regard.
From there, lets say you have a 1G video card, you would set the video mem free to 1/2 of the video card memory or 512mb.
 
Topic: Virtual Dj Video freezes while playing next song: GO to your virtual DJ configurations go to Video Tab make sure (Activate) is checked and (use hardware acceleration) is UNCHECKED and on OPTIONS make sure all is checked except for (use this plugin for audio files) that should fix the freezing of your videos while mixing. Hope it helps. :)
 
This has been fixed in the latest version.
