I have an HP laptop with windows 7, my friend just gave me a Behringer BDC-3000 midi controller.
what do i need to do so i can get it to work?
he did not give me a cd to install a program or something...he just gave me the midi controller & an usb cable.
your help on this is much appreciated. :)

Well, first thing's first. You need to install the Driver for the BCD3000. You can get that from the Behringer site itself. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/BCD3000.aspx
The one you want should be: USB Audio/MIDI Driver | Combined 32/64-bit driver
Make sure you do not have it plugged into your computer while you install the drivers. Also, do not have VDJ running while you install the drivers.
Plug the BCD3000 in when the installer tell you to.
Once installed, start up VDJ and it SHOULD find it right away. Remember, you must have VDJ Pro in order to use it correctly.
