Topic: Virtual DJC and Hercules RMX issue

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have a new macbook with snow leopard and a hercules rmx and virtual dj djc edition that came with the hercules. Everything was fine until recently when I start up virtual dj all the controls work except for the song does not play. it does not play when I click on the play button with the mouse and it does not play when I hit play on the rmx. Again, everything else works fine, the song loads and everything but it just doesn't play. What could the issue be?

Go to System Preferences > Sound > Output and make sure the Rmx is not selected as the default playback device for the computer. VDJ doesn't not seem to like it...

It isn't. I checked. It is something wrong with Virtual DJ because the software works fine on my new pc. Just for some reason the song does not play on the mac and the software thinks it is playing because when I try to get out of the program it says that a song is playing. Strange I know but I have no clue why it all of the sudden started to do this.

You may want to try "unsinstalling" Virtual DJ and start anew. Delete the following files:

- the Virtual DJ program in Applications

- the Virtual DJ folder in Documents

- the file com.Atomixproductions(...).plist in user/library/Preferences

Empty the recycling bin then reinstall.

I usually have the same problem if I've disconnected/reconnected the RMX at some point... In either case I click the Configuration ("Config.") and hit "Apply"...
It seems to also work around the problem when I get that Error in Sound Driver Message. I also found it "best" to do a restart whenever I connect/disconnect the RMX.

When the RMX is connected, this is my "Sound Setup" in the Configuration settings:

Inputs: None

Outputs: Headphones (drop down:) Master: Chan 1&2 / Headphones : Chan 3&4

Sound card: DJCONSOLE RMX (checked:) Apply Eq on external inputs

hope this can help ya :) DjEddieKay
