Topic: Numark Mixdeck with VDJ

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I am considering the Numark Mixdeck. I have read through the threads and know that VDJ 6.1.2 has a built in mapper that works with the Mixdeck. I know the mixer part of the Mixdeck is not midi...

If you are using VDJ 6.1.2 does the fader on the Mixdeck control the fader in the software... if not how are people fading from one deck to the other?

yes it does, only problem i'm haveing to map is the range botton it doesn't lock at all

I am having the same problem, the fader on the software is not working, if you record a session on the software you can hear all your intros. Tried mapping the crossfader on 6.1 with no luck.
Any advice would be great at this point.

so is neccesary to use another midi button to link video crossfader instead... right?

You would need to assign a spare knob to video_crossfader or a button to video_transition (This will do an automatic video crossfade when the button is pressed.)

If i use a Numark DJ IO Audio Interface... does this mixer (crossfader) thing work?

It doesn't make any difference what sound card you use - The mixer section in the MixDeck is not MIDI capable and cannot control the video crossfader in VirtualDJ.

The MixDeck has its own built-in sound card, so there is no need to use an external one.

I just bought a Numark Mixdeck and I am really angry with it. I am using a Sony Vaio pc Windows 7 64. Updated the numark drivers from their website, but I still get the same problem with audio distortion and clipping. Its fine for a few minutes then every so often I will clear a screeching distortion noise when its very frustrating. My other is that the crossfader doesn't seem to fade into the right deck. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Please help, because I am about to ship this back. I have never have so many problems with a deck before.
