So, after wasting 2 days and 70 quid trying to get VDJ Basic to work with my Herc MK4 I found out the not so obvious and re-installed my version of LE. I clicked on the button to open the 20 day free trial of VDJ Pro and nothing happens apart from the fact that the button to open the option is now greyed out and it says I've already used my 20 days.
Err.. No, I haven't. 'cos it doesn't work.
Why?

The trial version does have a widespread problem which we are working on a solution to correct.
In the meanwhile we are advising users who want to test to obtain a one month Premium membership which seems to enable the Pro trial and not for just 20 days but 30 with full access to 8 million songs to boot.
For now that is the only solution.
Our feature pages clearly state that Basic is just that, Basic.
It does not support control devices of any type or video output.
One thing it does do if give you full credit towards Pro when or if that time comes and is the only version that offers that.
So you can keep the Basic version and apply the $99 usf towards the cost of Pro.
Hope that helps clear things up for you and other readers.
