Last week I was trying to setup my Hercules Mk4 console in combination with 2 CDJ1000 players & DJM800 mixer.
I had a timecoded CD burned with the VDJ Pro file available here on the site. In the Mk4 console driver I set the input Ch 1 & 2 to Pro Line as I understood the CDJ1000 have a high signal output, that's also the reason I use Pro timecoded CD's. The led on the console inputs is then blue (red for normal line input).
In VDJ Config Sound Setup I choose Timecodes, and that's is what I have in the Timecode config:

Both decks have 100% but the right deck had a very distorted sound and was not useable. The circles are full lines on the right deck and dotted on the left. Does that mean anything?
Here's the Debug window;

In fact I still don't understand completely the use and working of these timecoded CD. I notice the track on the CD is 12min long, does it start over after each 12minutes? When I played a track on the left deck I recall that the time indicator wasn't correct with the actually loaded & played track, is that normal in such setup?
I wasn't able to fully test this setup but I'm wondering if all the functions of the Mk4 console would also be possible on the CDJ1000 then?
Like pitch, beatlock, keylock, effects, samples,...?
I also connected the output 1-2 & output 3-4 to the DJM800, so in fact with this kind of setup/connection I would use the Mk4 only as a soundcard then, right? In VDJ I also can choose 3 Lines mixer with output 5-6 on the Mk4 for using preview or samples. But where is output 5-6 on the console is that the headphone Jack?
I know the Pioneer player & mixer is lot more robust that a Mk4 can be, but are there any other advantages with this setup that I don't know the existance of yet? I'm not a CDJ/DJM user.

Hello li125,
1) With a Pioneer CDJ player, I suggest your set the input level in DJ Console Mk4 control panel on Boost.
2) DJ Console Mk4 has only a 4-channel output (2 channel for the mix + 2 channel for the preview). If you want to use a 3-line mixer, you must either use a 6-channel sound card or add the stereo output of your computer built-in sound card (but combining 2 different sound cards generally drive to more latency than 1 sound card).

I din't try Boost, but why is 1 deck OK and the other not then with my Pro settings?
I think it is also possible to have Ch1-2 for deck 1 to the DJM800 and also Ch3-4 for deck 2 to the DJM800. Then I can use the monitoring on the DJM800, no?
