Topic: WARNING NVV wont work............

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Just like the title says the numark virtual vinly box will not work in the advanced config mode. It's not even an option in the drop downs which leads me to believe that the only sound cards that will work are one's with ASIO drivers, which this box doesnt have. So I dont know thank goddness I have a Maya44 which sounds like poop.

THANKS
Huey

ahhhhh. just my luck. i was excited to try the four deck mix with the virtual vinyl soundcard. but i didnt see in the advance config. i was hoping there would be an option for like "deck 3 output 1" and deck 4 output 2" or something of that nature. but looks like VV lets me down again. Looks like we have to drop another dime for a 4ch mixer and a more compatible soundcard!!!!!

No doubt, I have it working with a Maya44 and its pretty sweet but if the Numark box had drivers it could be a 4in/6out!! That would give me control of 4 decks, a channel for samples and a Rewire channel. I was so excited!! Then I almost cried when I couldnt get it to work, ughh!! Well nobody ( TEAMERS ) hasnt chimed in so HOPEFULLY thier workin on ASIO drivers behind the scenes............seems numarks always a bit behind.

Please can we find out something
Huey

I hope the drivers wont take to long for the VV box, as I think it has a beter sound than the others.

I have noticed though that it picks up my DJ IO in the drop down though in the advanced menu.

Hello,
The VVbox is designed to communicate with Virtual DJ directly in fact the drivers and service is in the software.
It does not communicate with windows just the software so it is allot faster than other cards. However this does mean it will not show in advanced unless this is added to the software. For most purposes the default template should be sufficient.

Can someone lock this thread? Doesnt look like anything is gonna happen with this.................

Thanks alot
Huey

@MP3JRICK,
What would you do?? Here is a great soundcard and it useless, well not useless, it just cant be used with the new features. Why would I be happy about having to shell out money.
Its kinda hard to go to Numark when its not even released yet...........so I thought I'd ask you guys, seems you created the program. As to the inner workings of the box I'm not a programmer I didnt know it dosent work like other soundcards so yeah I'm gonna ask ever question I can come up with.

I'm sure you'll lock this too but does anybody know if something in the works? Or even a work around? Even a simple yes or no will do.

Thanks for the info and time
Huey

P.S. You locked the wrong thread, lol!!

The VV box is designed to run timecode with a lower latency than a usual soundcard.
There is a bunch of complicated code in the driver and firmware to give it "adaptative latency" to adapt the latency automatically to the lowest your system is capable of, in real time.

But, because of these optimizations, the VV cannot be operated alongside "normal" slower soundcards.
(the VV would have to "wait" on the other cards to keep the streams synchronized, and it's not possible).

But anyway, the VV box does have 3 outputs, so it can definitely be used in a 3-decks mode, and you would even still have the low-latency inputs to get your timecode in.
But yes, if you want to get more than 3 outputs, you'll have to use some hardware that is built to handle such things.
The VV box was built to handle low-latency timecode, not versatility and multi-channels ;)

Cool and Thanks for explaining how it all works I have a much better understanding now ;-)

Thanks for the time and info
Huey
