Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have "timecode_active" mapped to button on my MIDI controller but everytime i press it and the timecode is going on the turntable the music just stops. When i disengage the timecode the music starts again from the spot it stops?

Whats the problem. I went into 'timecode config' but don't know what to do and don't know it will do anthn in there to fix it?

First of all try to repeat the same procedure with timecodes set to Relative mode. Does the music stops now?

I did what u said, put it in relative mode instead of relative/smart, but dont think that was it. I had the line switches set to 'line' instead of phono. Maybe signal wasnt picked up even stil it worked.

The problem now is is that when i use the timecode for abit say about 4 -5 minutes it just cuts out adn cant get it to wrk again?

I tried a few things, i thought it may have been when i used certain things on my MIDI controller but doesn't seem to be.

I try using the timecode active button to see if it would activate/reactivate the timecode but no ?

First of all, go to Timecode Config and check if your signal is 100%
If not, here's a guide how to fix it: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/TimeCode%20Config.html
After you get the signal to be 100% try to control your decks with TC. Remember that when a deck is not hearing sound from the TC it stops!
Also for troubleshooting purposes map some keyboard commands like "deck 1 timecode_active 1 on", "deck 1 timecode_active 1 off" , "deck 2 timecode_active 2 on", "deck 2 timecode_active 2 off" and try to use these commands to see if the timecode on/off works.

How does the scratch work?

Disable Pitch / Pitch sensibility / Smooth: By default, VirtualDJ will interpret the movements of the pitch slider on the turntable, and translate this in movement of the pitch applied by the software.
This let you use features such as KeyLock or automatic BeatSync.
But, because of the intrinsic nature of the timecode technology, the software cannot clearly tell a pitch change from a scratch, so this pitch changing detection cannot be instantaneous.
These options give you control over the pitch detection sensibility. Adjust to your liking.
