Hey, I've been having some trouble with the Mixman DM2 and virtual DJ 6 on my mac (using the DM2 mac MIDI program) . I've gotten pretty much everything to work fine with the DM2 controller, I have a lot of the buttons on the DM2 configured to do basic things (play/pause, crossfade, cues, load decks, etc.). However, when I try to set the wheel to scratch, I can only scratch in one direction - i.e., I move the wheel forward, it scratches forward, I move the wheel back, and it scratches forward again (or I can have it move back both times, depending on whether I use scratch_wheel +1.0 or scratch_wheel -1.0). When I try to do auto-key, it registers the same "button" whether I move the wheel forward or backward (0-CC22 for right deck, or 1-CC22 for left deck whether I move forward or backward - when I try to change this number it doesn't work).

Is there any way I can make it so that it scratches forward when I rotate the wheel forward and backward when I rotate it back? Any commands or auto-key combinations?

Thanks a lot...

Please don't bump old topics. This topic is from 2010 and is nearly 2 years old.

Mixman DM2 is not natively supported by VirtualDJ and there are no user-made mappers available for it. However, if it is a standard MIDI controller you can try mapping it yourself - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/How%20do%20I%20map%20my%20MIDI%20controller.html

You will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use MIDI controllers: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Also do not ask users to send you files. 3rd party sharing outside of our official plugin download pages (http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/index.html) is not permitted on the VirtualDJ forums and unlicensed users are also not permitted to post their contact details. Plugin downloads are only available to registered licensed users who have supported the software and its future development by purchasing it. Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
