Topic: Would you NOT hire this DJ?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Another ad I just came across on my local Kijijji:

['Looking for an experienced DJ in your area? Look no further! I have been providing entertainment in the Niagara region for the past 7 years. Experienced and independent means's you will get professional quality entertainment for a reasonable price. The DJ will make or break your night, I have the rite knowledge and experience to bring your party to life with a extensive licenced music library and equipment to accommodate any crowed size. I have done hundreds of weddings and stag & does with no disappointments. If you want a great DJ to rock your event that is my business if you want to spend allot more money then you have to that is your business.

Rates start form 400$ for 6 hours, e-mail or call for any further information']

Now for my fun little game of 'Why would you NOT hire this guy?' Let's see who comes up with the answer first?

Sorry I can only give you a 'Virtual' pat on the back for giving me the correct answer. Have fun gang!

Okay GO!

Should read 'Why would you NOT hire this DJ?' lol

OK, I would only book him if he could do it for 350 but even then I would ring you to see if you could do it for 300 and if so then I'd book you instead.

Now for my virtual pat on the back, as i just gave you an imaginary booking for a whole 300 dollars.

*BUZZER SOUND EFFECT*

Sorry Charlie, thanks for playing but that is the WRONG answer.

First hint: It has nothing to do with the price! (I left the price in there as I knew it would throw you all off)

Ok anyone else want to give it a go?

I was just joking trying to wind you up but you didn't bite, I'll have another go later. I'm supposed to be working!!

I'm gettin' old. My bark is worse than my 'bite' lol Now get back to work!

The spelling is wrong for a start lol
He also said he'd make or break the night. Not a good start espevially for the rate he's asking.
poorly written ad

If you want a great DJ to rock your event that is my business if you want to spend allot more money then you have to that is your business

proof-reading your ad is usually a good idea.

Well if I could get passed the poor spelling (WITCH IM KNOT THE BEZT AT IETHER) and bad grahmer and decided to e-mail or call this person I would have no contact information to do so (unless you removed it)

Aside from his really bad spelling; His message is the same one that almost every Mobile DJ Has out there.

If he didn't attach any pictures of his events in the ad Then I wouldn't consider him

BTW interesting factoid in regards to spelling. Most people while reading will "Auto-Correct" the spelling errors if they see the whole word. As long as the first and last letters are correct the mind will be able to correct the spelling. It took me 4-5 reads through that ad before I caught all the errors.

Still it; makes an interesting statement that he posted that Ad and didn't have auto-spell enabled in firefox or explorer (they both have it now)

Good work kids! Pat on the back & a FREE spell checker for all of you lol

I have even seen Job Postings from the local Hospitals with blatant spelling errors. In this age of texting & e-mails I see more & more of it even though with the advent of computers there is really no excuse for it.

Like I said, I'm getting old, & was an English major & am OCD when it comes to my own materials & website.

While we do 'auto' correct' in many instances we also take note of bad spelling & poor grammar.

It was a fun game while it lasted. Thanks for playing along gang!

So this ad had nothing to do with you then lol

No I do have a kijjiji ad & get tons of business from it, but suffice to say, there are NO spelling errors on mine lol

Well that is so much more important than reading a crowd and being able to keep people on the dance floor now isn't it...

toepick closed, game, set and motch point you won, now how much do you chirge and r u any goit...because in reality that is all that matters to poeple these days.
