I want to set VDJ volume (in the software) and have it be constant. Then use the RMX to control volume without
affecting the volume controls in VDJ. Is this possible?

Yes, by default the master volume in VDJ is at 100%. All you have to do is remap the Master Volume to what ever you want. Look in the mappers tab under config.

A bit confused.
Yes VDJ is set to master 100%. However when the RMX is connected,
the volume control for the deck also move within VDJ.

Im a bit confused as to what you want. The RMX is not an amplifier and is dependent on the software for volume control. Additionally, I am assuming that you are talking about the middle slider (master volume).
What are you hoping to accomplish by having a volume control independent from the software? I can guess that its a recording issue, but thats just a guess...

No not recording. I want to see if I can get the left & right deck volume
controls on the RMX to work like on a mixer. Leaving the volume
within VDJ unaffected.
