I am currently trying to put together a new computer for club dj'ing. Currently use Virtual DJ 5. I need to have dual soundcard capability, using an external mixer. Don't need any timecode or anything, just basic playing of songs. I've tried using a Gigaport HD but all the song did when you tried to play was sit still. Also have tried using the built in onboard sound as one and using a Soundblaster X-fi platinum PCI-e as the second card, which every now and then causes a song to skip on the soundblaster. Computer is brand new i3 processor with 8gb ram, running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. Has anyone sucessfully setup a system like this?

the gigaport hd will work, did you go to the Gigaport website and download current drivers? And follow the setup instructions. Then you will have to select it from the setup sound menu in VDJ. The HD is an 8 channel sound card so you will be able to run 4 decks in VDJ 7 independently. I am using the gigaport AG and HD with no problems, and i am going to use the audio 8 and see how well it works. We have five systems that go out. Also i am running window 7, but i had to download drivers for vista, for some reason the windows 7 drivers would not work, but the vista drivers work just fine. Good luck

In regards to the Gigaport, yes i went to their site and downloaded the most recent drivers. at the end of your statement you said you were using the Vista drivers, were you saying i should download the Vista drivers for the Gigaport?
