how Will the new Virtual Dj 7 With 4 Deck Skin Work With the dmc 2 ? i want to go buy the dmc2 for a party i have to dj at and the dmc 2 is the only cheap midi controller i can find with a crossover bulit in . how will this setup work ?

It will only control the first two decks by default (It's a 2 deck controller), but you can assign a button to toggle to the other decks.

What do you mean? i can set a button to toggle to the other decks (3 &4).

Yes you can toggle the other decks and yes you can use 2 controllers at once, search around the forums their great help.............If you follow the links he gave you it'll help you do what you want to do.

Thnks for the DMC2 Advice I Love mine for mobile work and would also love to use it with 4 decks.
I've also noticed that the DMC2 skin has not been updated for quite some time, It be great to see a V7 skin for DMC2 ...Cheers

Hi,
I've set up my dmc2 for 4 decks, I can upload my mapping if anyone wants it, or just look at the code I used if you'd prefer.
I use the "folder" button on the dmc2 to swap decks, but you can map it to any button you don't use.

In order a single controller to control 4 decks you need a 4 deck skin and mapping 1 or more buttons to swap the decks.
you may find here some script also.

If you have 2 controlers (lets say 1 DAC3 and 1 DMC2) you dont need swapping actions. You can assign 1st controller for deck 1 & 2 and the second to control deck 3 & deck 4
Look at the Config-Mapper,chose your Controler from the Drop Down List and right next to it there is Deck Assign button

the dac 3 is also natively supported as far as I know, I had one a few years ago.
If you're still struggling to get your 4 decks working on the dmc2 I can still upload my mapping, but it's not anything special, just modified a bit and has the deck change buttons mapped.
