Hi everyone
I am really confused about setting up my external mixer I have looked everywhere because I know there so many topics on this but I just cant work it it out.
I want to control the faders and eq's from the mixer and record this.
I have a Behringer mixer and a Ikey IConnex external soundcard.
This is what I thought i needed to do:
Connect one channel of my mixer to the input of my external soundcard.
Connect the other channel of my mixer straight intop my laptop mic with a y splitter.
Then run my mixers amp output into the my amp and speakers.
Then on vdj configure 2 cards; 1. primary 2. usb
When I do this both channels on vdj come out the 1 channel on my mixer.
Could someone please tell me what Iam doing wrong? The only things I can think of is that my external soundcard output is not in use or I need an external soundcard with more than one input
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Thanks a lot i have managed to get it sorted. I just have one more problem:
Now when I try to record (I have run my mixer into mic line of my laptop and changed the config on vdj to mic line)
my recording is really distorted, basically no sound I can use. I have messed with Mic volumes but doesnt do much
Any ideas on this?
Thanks

check your cable from your record out to mic line on comp..make sure they are shielded,,check your record out volume on the mixer make sure its not too loud as well as make sure your signal on your mixer is not too loud that it will distort.
