Topic: New (backup) Setup

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

After years of using my main (150 lb) rig 5-6 nights a week, I've decided to save my back by putting a smaller playback system together. Mostly for use i my weekly bar jobs. first, i have a AA VMS4 in an odyssey case, a pair of QSC K12's, a pair Carvin Powered Subs (when needed) and a new laptop. I've always hated laptops, except for backup, and was a fan of Rackmount PC's but they have come a long way.

That outstanding Man,

Used a laptop from ten years without fault, how much power do you need to run mp3's and videos?

that's a good laptop spec wise, hopefully it will work out well for you

if you need any help optimizing it , let me know

the powerful 8 gig ram and 1 gig video systems i have allow you to do whatever you want when you want

but they are desktops ... your 6 gig laptop could work very well though especially if you take the time to

optimize it

a powerful well maintained system makes it possible to use a lot of plug ins and to meet demanding

situations like running video with plugins plus FireText

i never stop adding music (think netsearch ) or other wireless downloads , plus i never stop sorting it

even at gigs , so a very powerful system to me is a necessity not a luxury

many times the good stuff only costs a little bit more

what do you suggest to optimize it?
