Topic: Buying a Computer-Please help

I have just been to the mobile beat show and was very impressed with the Virtual DJ software. I would like to start using it to run my DJ and Karaoke shows as well as Video Mixing,

Please could you give me the specifications for a computer that will drive this software with ease. The computer I buy will only be used for Djing so I do not need anything fancy. I will be buying the turntable add on Vinyl too

Is there a PC on the market that is affordable and on the shelf that I can go and buy now ?

Lap Top or Desk Top ??

He was reccomended to me and I just got my system and am testing it. Les at http://www.musicmixersmall.com/. Systems aren't badly prices and support is great. I have three laptop systems and just went to a rackmount with Les. I would reccomend you skip the laptops and go for it. If you are serious about giving a quality digital show spend the money now. Don't make my mistake. It just cost me more. Circuit City or Comp USA will not help you. But if you are very computer literate you can build your own. I am not blessed with that ability. Good luck. Start with buying this software and practice...

Be aware that there is NO KEY CHANGER in the karaoke program.

I recommend you best you can affort... here some recomendations:

Well please tell my what you have?.

Fresh Setup: PC or Notebook Pentium 4 or AMD 64. The fastest the better. 1GB in RAM (fastest you can get. AMD works with DDR 400, Intel DDR2 667). SATA Hard disk 300GB at 7200RPM or greater (if you want video consider this or more and 10K RPM is better). (For Intel use an Intel Motherboard, 955 is right or 945P Series).

Video Card 128MB DDR3: N-Vidia FX-6600GT (or better, 7800GT is the best) or a ATI X800 (or better).
