Hi all
Sorry but as a newbie naturally I have to start with a question!
I purchased a Hercules RMX console which came with the Virtual DJ 5 DJC software - everything seemed to load okay but after a short while, when I tried to drag a new song up, everything stopped and eventually I got a Windows error message saying that programme wasn't responding. This happens everytime I try dragging new songs up to play. I downloaded updates but all that did was to automatically alter my monitor resolution and then I kept getting ASIO error messages! Have tried uninstalling and installing a few times but to no avail. Made the fatal mistake of upgrading to Virtual DJ Pro Basic (I noted that the DJ5 was compatible to XP SP2 and I run Windows 7 so thought the problem might lie there - of course I now find out that as Hercules is midi controller, I can't use the Pro Basic software :( )
Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated - I assume that this question may have been asked before so if anyone can point me to the answer.....

OK. Further to the above I can load a song up but now nothing plays ie no sound through headphones (I don't have speakers connected yet as I thought I'd just tinker around for a while!), no meters are jumping up and down, timer is not moving etc. HOWEVER if I try closing the screen down a warning sign will pop up saying "music still playing are you sure you want to quit!" WTF??!! I can press the play button on either deck and it lits up but thats it! I have updated to Version 5.2.2 and firmware is uptodate too.
