Hello all,
Some of you may have seen my post regarding setting up my RMX with VDJ in a club and how to connect it all up... now I have put my worries about that to one side I would like a bit of advice about setting up the software correctly.
Primarily the sound setup page (input, output & Soundcard)
I will be using the RMX as the soundcard routing via a DJM800 into the soundsystem as I have never set it up this way I'm unsure of the exact settings I should be using. When I have played at house parties and the like this is my usual set up as I find it the easiest to use:
RMX - Laptop via USB
Laptop to Stereo system via jack to phono cable
Sound setup page: No Input, Single Output, Soundcard Simple
I have toruble with getting a cue track in my headphones this way and I've never really had the time to mess about at home to figuire it all out properly.
What should I be setting Output & Soundcard to with the setup I intend to use in the club?
at a guess it would be Single output & Hercules RMX as the soundcard... or should I be using asio driver?

That is the wrong way to setup the Sound Setup tab of the Settings dialog box.
Set it up like this:

Headphones should work now if you set it up as above. Use Outputs 1 - 2 from the RMX and connect to a stereo Channel on the DJM800.

cheers :D went and got alll the needed cables earlier so I will have a play about later after work and make sure everything runs smoothly when plugged into my own speakers :)
