I'm using VDJ7 Free and a Hercules DJ Control (The first one from 2004)
The left and right sliders are currently configured to control pitch, while two knobs control the volumes. I'd like to invert that and use the sliders for volume.
I used to do it via "set" button on the original VDJ that came with the hardware. It doesn't work on VISTA though so I'm using VDJ7 Free.
How do I do that?

Virtual DJ free does not support the use of external controllers

It does. For ten minutes.

You can change the mappings by going to CONFIG -> Mappers and choose the DJ Console in the drop-down list.
Then simply swap the action for these two functions (PITCH and VOLUME) around with each other.
