Topic: Dj console RMX buttons

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hello
Recently i bought the Hercules dj console RMX. I was used to dj with the Dj console MK 2 from my partner, but i needed a console for my own. After reading a lot of positive reactions about the RMX i bought it. I also installed the included virtual dj LE 5.2.2 for mac.
The problem i have with my RMX is that i can't dj the same way i did with my MK 2. I work a lot with loops. On the MK 2 there's a button that instantly loops the next 4/2/1 beat(s). Those buttons are not there on a RMX.
On the RMX there are 6 buttons for loops and effects. And you can assign some different things to those 6 buttons, but those are not the ones i need. I heard that there is a way to choose the function of each button aside the choice you get when you click the arrow. I would like to have, for example, a button that halves or doubles the beat (loop 50%/200%) and a button that instantly loops 1,2,4 beats (loop 1/2/4). How can i edit virtual dj so that my Dj console RMX can do these things?

Thank you
Capablo

You would need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

You will then be able to map the buttons to any function of your choice, e.g: loop 4

VirtualDJ LE that comes free with the console is limited in functionality. The RMX is also different in design to the MK2 so has different default capabilities.

You can try out VirtualDJ v7 Pro features for 10 minutes at a time in VirtualDJ Home FREE: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html (NOTE: The Pro trial included with VirtualDJ Console Edition for RMX is version v5.2 which does not support custom mapping (This feature was added in VirtualDJ v6.))

For basic instructions on how to add or change a mapping in VirtualDJ Pro v7, please see:
