Just curious if the Marketing Sales folks are contemplating a Christmas Upgrade & New sales discount for this time of year?

It would be nice if there was some Christmas spirit spread by Atomix and the new revenue would pay for some nice party's
for the developers and volunteers who make this fine product possible.

i think it's fair to say Christmas came early and more than once this year .......
 
Atomix has been playing Santa all year (especially with the release of VDJ7 at no charge to upgrade!)

In the 3+ years I have been here, there has NEVER been a charge to upgrade....

We read closely enough. We're just saying that Atomix has been great to all of it's registered users. We get Xmas multiple times a year from these guys!

We're you perhaps trying to upgrade your LE to Pro at a discounted rate?

Yes that was one issue.. the point was a win win for customers AND Atomix to add new customers and motivate existing ones to UPGRADE not UPDATE.

Not a discussion on how updates & fixes are free.....thought that was clear enough for most...
 
So I'm guessing that Atomix virtually give away their LE software so that they can make some money when that customer upgrades to Pro.

And you are asking to get your upgrade for FREE... The respectful thing to do is to pay the substantially reduced upgrade price so that we all may look forward to a version 8 at some point.

If you are making money out of DJing, then one maybe two gigs should more than cover the cost of the upgrade. Why should anyone (not just you) get something for FREE so you can make money out of it.

Business is business... You help Atomix make money then in return you make far more than they get out of you.

I think that's fair, don't you?

I did not say anything about Free but there are opportunities to add a step between Limited and Full such as adding a package with controller(s) connectivity. A lot of DJ's don't need or want the Video & Karaoke features but would like the ability to connect straight audio to controllers.

The point was to generate NEW customers and give options to others that don't need the FUlLL version but with a general discount they may help them choose to buy an UPGRADE or the FULL as well.


Real glad your happy with your choices..

BTW IMHO maintenance updates are NOT upgrades and a discount does not mean FREE.
 
try going to serato where you have to spend $250-$400 usd in order to use every major upgrade...selling vdj is the only way atomix makes there money...1 time and 1 time only...how can we expect a discount if theres no catch on the comeback!

That was my point to get folks like you to UPGRADE and pay some cash.. (An incentive to do it NOW)

i have vci 300 i havent upgrade cause the club i work at owns the software...eventually i will and gladly pay full price knowing its the best software around with no extra hidden charges for the features it has...all you have to do is work around the controller you have and remap a couple buttons and you are set...like i said i run my vci 300 on vd7 4 decks runs beautiful.
