I am a multi-op seriously considering making the switch to VDJ. Currently, all of my systems use Denon 2500's.
A couple of questions for those who use the Denon 2500 with VDJ.
1) - is the software "married" to a specific Denon unit. Meaning, if I use Laptop A with Denon A, and then next week use Laptop B with Denon A, will I need to reconfigure anything, or does VDJ simply see a Denon hooked up rather than a specific unit hooked up.
2) - I have read over the set up procedures here and on the Denon forums, it seems that even a dumb person like me should be able to do it. However, from user's experience, is there any advice you can give, or something you wished you would have done during set up differently after you started using it?
3) - How do I hook up the drives now? Now I have a USB hub hooked into the Denon with two HD's and a keyboard hooked to it. Once I convert to VDJ, do I hook up the drives to my computer, or keep them hooked to the Denon?
Sorry for asking what I am sure appear to be elementary questions, but I am not the most tech savy person alive!
Thanks for the help, I am hoping to be able to make the transition soon.

I think all Denon units with built in audio interface use the same asio driver so it should be pretty smooth to switch over from one unit to another. VDJ will atomatically detect the denon unit and load the default mapper for it., the only thing that VDJ does not detect on its own is the sound card, you will need to adjust that on your own but since Denon uses the same asio driver it should be pretty easy.
In order to play your music off your HD you will need to have them connected directly to your computer so that VDJ can browse the HD

You may need to install the latest firmware from http://www.denondj.com - The original HD2500 was not MIDI capable and this functionality was added at a later date via a firmware upgrade.
