Topic: Another 4 deck controller on it's way! [Numark NS6] - Page: 1

Questa parte dell'argomento è obsoleta e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate

The VMS4, The Hercules 4MX, The Denon MC-6000, and now it looks like Numark is joining in with a 4 deck controller.
I was browsing the hardware section of this site and saw a nice "coming soon spot" reserved for a 4 deck Numark controller right next to the MC-6000.

Wow choices and more choices!

Is this old news? I am just seeing this for the first time so thought I would share.

Let's hope its like the mixdeck with a 4 channel midi mixer!! That would be fresh in my opinion.

I hope it's nothing like the mixdeck! Had nothing but probes with that unit..at least with the laptop part of it...Maybe once they fix there driver issue...then it will be a good unit...but iv been told that numark will not own up to the fact that it's a driver issue...just glad I got what I got on eBay for it...cause price has been going down big time...now I love the ns7!!! That was fun playing on...

Well as far as being an all in one controller goes your NS7 is not, thats what I'm hoping it is and not some tiny ass thing I can fit in my back pocket, lame!!

Interested in seeing what they come out with. Something like the mixdeck would be nice, but with a midi mixer and able to control 4 decks.

I hope its like the NS7 with 4 channel midi and open source platform not just for itch!

Just need options for controlling effects more than one at a time and 2 parameters dials

Well the ns7 is not mine lol...I own the vms4 and Traktor Kontrol s4...I used the ns7 at a wedding I helped out on....was fun mixing on it...although itch locked up lol....and I heard that has been a probe with itch....I am not a fan of itch...I do like scratch live though...but vdj7 is now my fav! It is fun mixing on 4 and 6 decks ;)

I would love to see Numark create an expandable system along the lines of:

4 Channel mixer, built in sound card, USB in, unbalanced RCA out for Booth, balanced XLR out for amp, dedicated sub balanced XLR out - basically a DDM4000 with a built in sound card via USB and additional connectivity for the deck controllers. It would offer MIC in and controls, 4 channel EQ, Volume, Gain, PFL, Crossfader etc plus effects control (assignable to a deck), headphone, etc, etc.

Non software specific deck controllers - Allen & Heath Xone:1D style - that connect into the mixer, via either USB or Network. Every control would be user assignable and offer jog/scratch, transport, cue points and looping controls.

MIDI maps shipped with the products, so that the user can map them properly to their choice of software without having to resort to "Learn"...

The mixer would be heart of the system and an ideal price point would be about £499, with the deck controllers coming in at about £100-£129 per unit.

As for sizes, I'd go for a 12" mixer (with 19" rack mounts included) and the deck controllers being half width of a CDJ (NDX800, etc). This would allow you to fit it all in a coffin case.

This is a basic outline of what I'd like...but it might not be to everyones taste.

The DJ TECH Hybrid 101 is almost there (except they decided to put in a 2 channel mixer in a 4 deck setup?????), but £189 per deck controller is a little bit rich...

And I think they should have atleast 2 of those decks able to run CD's and or Jump/Flash/Hard Drives. I mean if your system gives out it'd look kinda dumb with you sittin there with 4 decks and cant do ANYTHING with ANY of them, lmao!! I do agree though it is the most tempting 4 deck controller out there, to me anyways. Lets pray to the DJ GODS of Numark that its some what like the NS7 but able to control 4 decks with a midi/anolog mixer (or atleast the crossfader midi for video), can run CD's, and can read Jump/ Flash/ Hard Drives. ALL-IN-ONE.....................

Just my thoughts

I must have this!

I realize that this is being released with Itch, but is there any possibility that it will be released with VDJ LE after the launch?
