Hi there all of you ... looking for advice... thinking about getting a usb controller for Virtual DJ ... i get the feeling that Hercules are good , heard that Numark are good also . Looking to compare Numark's IDJ3 and Mixtrack Pro Hercules MK4/Steel/RMX .. they are all in my budget .. greetings

I would either go with the Numark ns7 or the American Audio VMS4 .

Thanks for the recommendations ... both are above my budget ... the American Audio is sold for 500$ and the Numark for 1200$ ... I am a beginner that plays randomly in parties and want to pay upto 250$ for this purchase -
Any more recommendations out there?

try the Numark Mixtrack. It's a budget controller and Numark stands behind their gear.

the Hercules products are very nice, I have an older Herc MK2 that has served me well.
I also have a Numark MixTrack Pro and I love it. Great controller for the $$
Good luck,
T

I got my MC6000 just before Christmas and I’ve taken it out to a number of shows now. I love it – it’s just plain fun to use. This controller actually got me excited and back into dj’ing after taking some time off. Layout works well for me (I’ve used lots of Denon products over the years, so I didn’t find it cramped compared to what they used to shove onto the double deck controllers), knobs and faders are all very solid feeling, love the responsiveness of the jogs (for comparison, they remind me very much of the Pioneer 100’s as far as size and weight go).
One problem I have had issues getting used to is that the eq’s have a very quick drop off when out of the centre groove. The more I use it the more I get used to it, but it requires a pretty delicate touch. The only other issue I’ve noticed is that my CPU seems to be running a little higher with the new controller, but I think that is a reported issue and I expect we'll see it smoothed out soon. My computer is also full of garbage which never helps!

There are many places you can rent them from to try them out prior to purshasing, and they usually rent for cheap.
You may get advice from others but everyone is prejudice to what they own, you need to be confortable with your gear and it needs to have the feature you desire.
