I'm trying to record some of my sets with virtual Dj using my American Audio Radius 3000, and up to now, I have not figured it out.
I'm using Virtual Dj 7.0.2, American Audio Versa Port, and the American Audio Radius 3000, can someone help me to set it up in a way that I can record my sets. Thank you.

One would think it's that simple. However, since I'm using an external mixer, I haven't been able to record any of my sets. I'm sure it is possible, but I just haven't figured it out yet. :(

If you use an external mixer you have to route a cable from your mixer (booth, zone or rec output) to your sound card's input (line-in). Then chose from the REC config, that line in as source.
You can also use your laptop's sound card for line-in input.
Note also that using an external mixer you will not be able to split your recordings into seperate tracks according to crossfader moves.

really???
would that be because the external mixer doesnt control the software?

Yeah it doesn't control the software, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with the audio, or at least I think. I'm sure there is a way........waiting......waiting. :)

What mixer are you using. I don't any mention of one unless im going blind, which I could be, lol!

hahahaha no you're not blind, I have fish memory, and forgot to add the numark DXM06.
This is the way I have it set up.
Radius 3000 (both) to laptop.
AA Versaport to laptop USB, and RCA cables to mixer.

If you are using the External Mixer option in VirtualDJ for separate deck outputs to a standard hardware audio DJ mixer then the only way to record your set is via a cable from the REC/BOOTH OUT of your mixer.

So, I removed my numark external mixer, and replaced with my BCD2000. Behringer to the rescue.

Take the Record Out/Tape Out from the mixer (not impacted by master gain) or booth out.
Connect that to your Line In if using a desktop type configuration or you will need to setup a 2nd USB audio capture card.
And using VDJ 7, you can map the Record input to the above and you are done.
Don't forget to set min and max gain/volume levels.
