Topic: Non-licensed users soliciting for plug-ins

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Recently I've been contacted through Facebook in regards to downloading plug-ins, etc for VDJ users with out licenses. I'm assuming they found me on the VDJ fan page since I've never seen them kicking around the forums.

When I asked them why they don't download them themselves I get responses like "Me and my partner bought it together, but had a falling out and he's the registered user" or "I don't own it myself, but I use it at the club I work at."

If you're a professional DJ, would you not pay for the software? Is the software ridiculous in price in other countries? Do you not get paid for playing music?

I have VDJ pro, purchased all my own equipment and music, and get paid for 3 nights of club work a week plus mobile gigs. If a piece of my rig fails, I might get lucky and borrow one for a few days, but ultimately I will have to buy a new component.

I'd like to here from other users on this topic. Are you guys being bothered by anyone on Facebook?

I told the last 2 guys to hit the bricks.

I GET THOSE REQUESTS TOO!!!

I just tell them outright to buy it like I did and good luck.

man im not a professional dj and i still made the effort to get a licence. even if it is only limited. i sometimes get bugged of people who see my setup or who i have had discussions with to provide them with a copy of the software and/or plugins but i always refuse.

as for facebook i dont use it.

A lot of the users of VDJ aren't professionals, in which case the softwares expensive to them.

very true, but if thats the case they can use home edition and pay nothing. then they dont need plugins either lol...

.

Why would ANY DJ allow his or her ability to do the job they love rest on the goodwill of someone else?

Hit the nail right on the head Hippydog! That about sums up my entire thought process in fewer words.
