Topic: sound distorted on virtual dj

just went to do a mix on virtual dj and the sound is distorted. i am running Mac OS X 10.6.5 using PC hardware (aka hackintosh). i have rebooted the machine and its still the same. all other audio is perfect in other applications. im using VDJ 6.0.2. im using the line out through my stereo, my motherboard is an Asus P5QL PRO and im using a set of harmon/kardon soundsticks as my cue output. it was fine last time i used VDJ which was a couple of days ago and i have not added any new hardware or software or changed any settings on y system or in VDJ.

please help with this

just tried an old version from a friend and it still does the same. i am going to try a PCI sound card in a moment, will update
 
all installed and im back in business :D
