Hi I'm new to the forum.
I have Virtual DJ 7 Pro for Mac and I'm using the Numark iDJ3. I'm not sure how to set up the headphones so that I can cue in the next song. I've tried a few of the settings but I can't get it right. When I turn up the cue volume on the mixer, it outputs the sound which is wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Sound outputs: headphones
sound card: if your on mac choose 4out card, windows, use ASIO and check ultra low latency
make sure output 1/2 is master and 3/4 headphones
and also
REGISTER YOUR SOFTWARE.

You need to have the PRO version in order to "Pre Listen" im currently struggling with the settings on getting my cue's to go through my headphones on the soundcard of the iDJ3. Anyone have it set up yet?

Definitely, you dont have to use Pro Full version to prelisten with iDj3. The LE version that comes with the device is capable to provide proper pre-listening.
The iDJ3 has no native sound drivers so your OS takes care of that.
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/iDJ3.html
Notice, in the above link, that your OS should detect 2 sound cards, one for master and one for headphones. But i have seen OS detecting the iDJ3 sound card as 4ch sound card and not as 2 stereo. In this case, you might need to change the sound setup as ..
Inputs..None
Outputs..Headphones (chan1,2 Master / chan 3,4 Headphones)
Sound card ..(4.1 or 4out for Macs) and next to that choose Numark.
You also need to make sure your Sound card is set to Quadrophonic mode to ensure sound comes through headphones (ch 3,4) as well.
For Macs.. Goto Applications-->Utlities->Audio Midi Setup, select the Numark sound card, Configure speakers...set to Quadrophonic.
For PCs...rightclick on the speaker icon on your taskbar, choose Playback Devices, then select the Numark sound card and choose Configure-->Set to Quadrophonic.
About not being able to prelisten both decks at the same time, yes that is not available in LE version, as the PFL buttons are mapped as Select. You can map then as pfl, but this is only possible with the Pro Full version.

The "Configure Speakers" button on my Numark MIDI config is greyed out (using a 2012 Macbook Pro OSX 10.7.5)
Any suggestions for how to adjust this to enable the A/B cue source?
thanks

Hi
On Mac should be set:
MULTICHANNEL and QUADRAPHONIC speaker MODE.
This on FINDER----APPS---UTILITIES--- AUDIO/MIDI SETUP
You should be seen AUDIO SETUP.
After doing this, open your virtualDJ software and set the sound settings inside VirtualDJ as:
INputs - none
Outputs -HEadphones
Sound Card - 4 Channel - Numark USB Audio
;-)
