Topic: Mixtrack Pro and VDJ Crossfader Issues

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I just recently purchased a Numark Mixtrack Pro Controller and it came with Virtual DJ LE (which I updated with the Pro 20 day trial version). I am not able to get the crossfader or channel/master volume faders to respond at all. They move in VDJ when I move them on the controller but nothing is affected. The song does not switch from deck A to deck B and the gain volume on each deck does not change either, neither does the overall master volume. All of the other knobs and buttons seem to work just fine. I am able to listen to the deck that is cued through the headphones.

Am I missing something? Do I need to enable something? Any help or advise would be great!

have you set up vdj to the correct controler?

also did you install the mixtrack drivers and software?

I have it set to the right controller and installed the software that came in the install CD...I would assume that the drivers would be loaded during the vdj installation...all of the other knobs and buttons work properly....the crossfader on the software is able to be controlled by the mixtrack controller, however, nothing happens...it does not switch songs between decks or blend them together, etc. I am only able to listen to the cued deck and rca outputs only play out the cued deck also

As i experience in my MK4 the driver for my MK4 is installed separately. I mean i manually install the driver for my MK4 and install the VDJ software separately. But they are in one Window only.

I have the same problem and i dont know what to do!

This means that your sound is probably not configured correctly.

For DJ Console MK4, set your sound as follows:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Hercules

For Numark MixTrack Pro, set your sound as follows:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Numark

Click APPLY.

Plug a pair of amplified stereo speakers into the master output on the back of the console and plug your headphones into the headphone socket.

Yes these settings work perfect thanks

@Support Staff:

Is that able to be done on VDJ LE or do I have to upgrade to pro? Because during the 20 day trial I was able to get the fades to work but had to change a setting for the I/O...is that option only available in the pro version?

It depends on which version of VirtualDJ LE you have and which MIDI controller it is intended for.

The above settings will work in VirtualDJ LE for the built-in sound card in the Hercules MK4 or Numark MixTrack Pro respectively.

If you have a Hercules DJ Console, make sure that you have the latest DJ Console drivers and firmware installed. A link to download this can be found on the following page: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common_Device_Drivers.html

NOTE: VirtualDJ LE only supports basic master+headphones sound setup. For external mixer setup (Separate deck outputs to an external audio DJ mixer) and other advanced sound configurations, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

@Support Staff:

I am using Mixtrack Pro as the controller...when I click the config button in VDJ LE there are no options available except to upgrade to PRO...I don't see anywhere else that I can change settings for I/O...is this the case? or am I missing something?

VirtualDJ LE is free limited software and does not have any configuration options (Except during 20 day trial of the full Pro.)

Some versions of LE may allow limited access to sound configuration, depending on the controller it was included with and whether it has a sound card built in or not.

If you do not see CONFIG -> Sound Setup and the MixTrack Pro is not working correctly, then you may have set incompatible sound setttings during the Pro trial. To correct, install Home FREE http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html and use this to verify that your sound settings are set as follows:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Numark

Click APPLY and then exit VirtualDJ Home FREE before the 10 minute trial of Pro features expires.

For more flexible sound configuration options and the ability to use custom skins, effects, etc. you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional. Assuming that it is not second hand or the discount has not already been used, your MixTrack Pro VirtualDJ LE entitles you to a significant discount off upgrading to the full VirtualDJ Professional. To receive this, please go to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and enter your VirtualDJ LE software serial number in the box provided.
