Hey guys, I saw this video on youtube that said to get 2 rca splitter, and 1 rca to stereo jack cable. This video was to explain how to connect an external mixer to virtual dj. It said to connect the 2 rca splitters, 1 to channel 1 and the other one to channel 2. Then we connect the red and white (rca cable to stereo jack) to the splitters and the stereo jack to the computer. Will it work? here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHkEbZGpDsc

I Can't watch the video but I think I can still give some info.
Assuming the stereo jack is plugged into the laptop headphones/output, you will have an output to the mixer than can be put through speakers. You will not be able to control the software with the mixer, and the crossfader on the mixer will not work between two decks.

That sort of set-up I'd use as a back-up from another machine like a netbook or cd player
yeh without any sound card / usb interaction vdj just looks all puzzled lol

Well in the video, this guy has several videos of him mixing with vdj. I have a soundcard, but it seems like nobody weill help with it. But will it not work at all? I can't crossfade from one song to another?

Again, please keep this all in your one thread. Do not start a new thread for every sub-topic on your external mixer problem.
