Hi, when i load virtual dj (no playing any songs or video),
my SYSTEM process in task manager, immediatly goes to 20%..
When I load videos it runs around 60-80 %..HArdware acceleration make little difference.
Is this normal?
I have a HP dv4000 laptop.
1gb RAM
Intel Accelerator 900 w/128 mb RAM.
80 gb. drive.
pentium centrino 1.6 MHZ 2MB cache.
WIDE screen DISPLAY.

Considering the laptop is heavily under rated for running video. Then I am surprised you are getting any type of framerate.

actually the frame rate is great. actually with hardware acc. the cpu levels around 20%

The Systems may vary one from another depending in your hardware. Always you do something in Windows the CPU levels goes up and down. If you had a desktop with your posted issues, you got a problem, but with a notebook which runs with Pentium M is normal.
You have to change your energy controls in Windows. Use the "desktop or office" option instead of the "mobile" or "power safe" option.
Pentium M was made to run more time with batteries, that's why the cpu clock is in 1.6MHz, but it also change it's speed (down the speed) to safe power. If you have in the default mode the power controls (Energy Options in the Windows Control Panel) this could by your problem.

Hey ACW, thanks for that tip !!.. with hardware acceleration and deskmode selected i am down < 10% cpu. framerate is great. too bad my video is still clipped w/hardware acceleration on..
