Topic: Square timecode signals with serato timecode

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have changed my soundcard to a maya 44 usb recently and use virtual dj with 2 cdj1000 mk3 cd platers for timecode control.

For some reason the timecode signals from the serato cds are coming through as a square signal and not round and I cant get the signal to goto 100%.

I have looked through the wiki for timecode setup but cant find any mention of this.

Any ideas how to cure it?

Post a screen shot and maybe turn the gain down.

Gain is already down low in order to get it in the box.

Any ideas how to take a screenshot on a pc?

Yes your "Prt Sc" button (should be next to your F12 button or around that area) then open paint and press "Ctrl+V", next save the picture and then upload it here.

Ok will give it a go in the morning.

I found a pic of someone else setup which looks like the same issue although I am running VDJ 7.02 My timecode signal looks like the one on the left if that helps.

im getting this square signal and 0% aswell anyone managed to work this out yet? using vdj timecode cds there the pro audio cd on cdj 800 mk2.

also im unable to set the cue point using the cue botton on the cdj. could this be the reson for this
should i use tractor timecode or maybe serato timecodes?

cdj800 mk2
tractor audio 4
djm 700k
vdj timecode cds

try changing the vdj time code to serato v1 or v2 i used them if not then its your input signal..make sure your in line and not phono.
hope that helps

may be bad timecode source

the square means "out of phase"

How do you correct it?

download a new cd.

check you connections and interface settings, because the square means that the two signals are actually "in phase" I mis-spoke before. they need to be "out of phase". So something is wrong with the input signal.
