Hey,
Ive been using the RMX for about 3 months now and want to upgrade to tables. I tried the ns7 before and love their table setup. Guitar Center has a sick deal on the V7s right now, and I want to get a couple but I don't know if I need to upgrade my mixer.
The main concern is that the V7 has 2 output channels, each controlling a separate deck on the single v7. (flick the witch in the back and it switches functions to the second deck). so technically I don't need a second v7 to dj and have all the functions of a standard 2 deck setup.
If I buy 2 of them I would have 4 output channels and 4 decks to mix with. The RMX only has 2 channel input, so I can add the 2 v7s but I am not sure if I will be able to control the other decks within each v7.
Also if I was to add a MIDI keyboard to my setup would I need another channel open? or would I only need another one open if I choose to have the MIDI keyboard produce audio in its own separate channel?
Pretty much I wanna know if I should upgrade my mixer, and if so, any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

No one tried this setup before, or is a fan of the v7s?
There going for 400 bucks each, i must say, that's really cheap for motorized tables.

I have a NS7 but one of my partners has V7's.
The V7's are real good. I don't know how good they will work with VDJ. I can tell you that you would want two V7's rather than one. I tried spinning on just one and it can be done but it's a ROYAL pain in the ass.
I once owned the RMX but it was not for me. I can't see using V7's with a RMX. If it were me, I would upgrade the mixer as well.
I'm sure someone else will be able to answer your other questions.
Good luck.

It might be worth considering upgrading your mixer anyway (it means you can use your current one as a backup too).
There is a store over here selling 2 V7 units with a free X5 mixer for around £995 (GBP) so you might want to have a look around on your side of the pond to see what the best deals are there.
A lot of people with V7's have the X5 so it cant be a bad little mixer... What I'm looking at / waiting for though (looking to purchase V7's later this year) is the Numark X7, it enables you to have 2 V7's and the mixer (+midi) plugged into your PC via 1 USB port, in addition the mixer has 2 USB ports so you can have 2 DJ's plug in for swap overs or whatever you could find a need for it.
Just a few ideas but it's your choice at the end of the day, if you can get 2 V7's and a free mixer... Why the hell not?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It would actually be a good idea to use the RMX because of its compatibility with VDJ, which is exactly why I'm considering using mine with 2 V7s.
