Topic: Numark V7 vs. Denon DN-MC6000

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I snoozed on the last rebate, but it is back! $200 cash back on the V7! Then the MC6K came out and well a pair of V7's would cost the same or even less then a MC6K. I want something stable, durable, and reliable with all the features I can get for the money. What do you guys think I should get?

What are you looking for? Does size and weight matter? Do you have a nice mixer already? If you have to put a V7 in the shop or it fails, you still can rock the party with one. The 6000 is nice and small, and can do it all. It all depends on what YOU want and need. They are both sweet units, and I am glad I am not in the market, because it would be hard for me to decide also. Not really I would get the .....

get the TearEmUp6000......

very reliable, and refuses to play crap requests .....

IMO it comes down to portability. The MC6K is a one piece unit and more portable. I can't vouch for the V7's because I haven't played with them yet but I can vouch for the MC6K. One of the nicest pieces that have come across my desk. Top notch build and great sound.

I do like how the layout is more spread apart in the V7 then again I like the features on the MC6K. I like to do precise beat matching over just using the sync button and I want to learn how to scratch so I like how the V7 has two nice big rotating vinyls, but I like all the features packed into the MC6K. I already own a Denon HD-2500 (would become backup) and a 500X 19\\\"mixer which would be replaced by the MC6K.

In other words this:

Versus this:

HeyDj Obedose - I have used both and if u intend to learn to scratch then I would not recommend the MC6k. I am a huge denon fan and have owned many of their players and currently have the 6000 and a 4500 w a x900 mixer in another cAse. The 6000 is not something to learn to scratch on. It's a little difficult as its "feel" is not true. The numark feels really nice. Have u checked out the 3700s from Denon? Those players are ridiculous!

For everything else tho the 6k is a fantastic unit that u can scratch on if ur experienced, but overall it's an exceptional piece of equipment.

Thanks everyone! I have played around with the 3700's they are amazing, but the price is the problem. I'm looking for something in the 600- 700 dollar range, right now with Numarks rebate I could get a pair of V7's for less than a MC6K, but I can't decide between these two great controllers. I'm a mobile DJ and although I would like to learn how to scratch I am more of a masher/live remix/effect using DJ when it comes to gigs. I think I'm leaning towards the MC6K, but still V7's are nice. When it comes to mobile DJing where a little bit of everything is mixed to a wide variety of people which controller would be more effective? Which unit is most stable with VDJ? I need a sign from God. Lol

The Mc6000 after the firmware upgrade seems very reliable.

I owned the NS7 before this controller, and it was REALLY difficult to lug it around everywhere. If you want to learn how to scratch, why not buy the 6000 and buy a turntable to play with until you get good?

Your right, but between the NS7 and the MC6K which would do you prefer and why?

The Denon has scartching abilities but its not a great scratching Deck. The platter doesnt feel right. If you want to scratch, The best decks for that is the V7's, NS7's & The Denon 3700's. There are too many decks that are coming out with jog wheels and most of them dont feel right. Not all jog wheels feel the same. If you want a portable controller that scratches really good, Get the Vestax VCI 300 Mk2 deck. Its on point and if you know how apply the setting correctly down to the 0.00% , It will be better than any controller you have messed with. The key lock is amazing and sounds really clean.
