So I got my first real gig comming up and I'm just looking for a few last tips?
It's a 4 hour set being played to an Indian crowd, I've been doin gigs for teens for ages, is there any major difference I should worry about here?
Cuss it's adults I thought maybe 1.5 hours of warm up and then see how the night goes?
As a last ask, I've got a decent DMX light set up now; any Do's and Don'ts about lights??
i.e.
-Still colours better than fast moving flashy ones?
-just leave it on auto pilot rather than playing with it?

You are on the right track. Warm up till it's time to GET IT IN!!! No time frame for the warm up but build the warm up into THE PARTY.
Adult shows are different than shows for kids but the basic premise is the same. Read your crowd, know the demographics of your crowd and be prepared to accommodate who is in the room.
The actual Dj'ing is the same. Just play for the adults and talor your selection to a more mature audience.
Don't forget though....ADULTS LIKE TO PARTY TOO!!!
As far as lights go, again...READ YOUR CROWD. You may not need as mush brightness. It depends on the venue.

Women are the best barometer for a party crowd. They will let you know when they want to dance and what they want to hear, but then its up to you to keep the momentum. Bottom line, get the chicks on the floor dancing and the rest will follow. Harder than it sounds, have to read em like a book sometimes. Good Luck!

Ya cuss my lights are cheaper than your average joe's they lack a brightness control for some reason, I'll just avoid the chessy patterns.
OH, is there a way to get VDJ to send the cue and master to your headphones? Couldn't find it myself but might be cuss I'm using the e-pc skin rather than the full size.
