It didn't excite me

It's just a DJM-800 with a few updates .... and not much cheaper than the DJM-2000!

I'm still using the DJM-500 I bought in 1998 which is totally bombproof, but since I've got the DN-MC6000 it may go in to retirement.

The only people who can afford these mixers now are clubs installing them and very rich DJ's. Pioneer seem to be pricing themselves out of the market!

not bad, but yeah it is expensive

It's expensive because there are so many after market brands out there, such as Pioneer and Denon are selling less unit's, in which case the unit's they do sell have to sell for more.

Think about this next time you buy something really crap that you know will only last six months.

PS, it's not just pioneer it's all of them.

Anyone been successful installing the DJM900 with VDJ? Friend of mine bought one this weekend, but we were struggling setting it up in combination with 2 denon SC2000 controllers. The sound of the 2 decks came only through 1 channel on the mixer?? We had all necessary drivers installed, set things up in the advanced sound config of VDJ to pioneer asio, but sound comes out all distorted? Latency issues maybe, but I played around with the settings and it didn't change anything.

So if anyone has it properly working, any help or tips would be nice! My mate's setup is laptop running W7 with VDJ 7.01, DJM900 hooked up on usb and 2 denon sc2000 on usb.

Cheers!
