If I purchase Virtual DJ pro basic instead of VDJ Pro FULL would I be able to use a controller like the Vestax vci 100 and also preview songs in my headphone? I looked at the comparison and didn't understand what it means to not support MIDI/HID Controller/Mixer Support

well it means u cannot use a controller with that version and should have bought the pro edition
 
You can use multichannel output of your Soundcard - every deck routed to it's own channels. So you can use an analogue mixer for your setup.

MIDI/HID Controllers are not supported. VCI-100 is a MIDI device so it did not work.

Not supporting Midi HID controllers means that you can only control the program with a mouse and keyboard.
and unless you have a external sound card you will not be able to PFL/cue tracks

Purchase the Pro version you will be happy you did. Then you will be able to use just about any Midi controler you want but you would still need a controler with a built in sound card or use a external soundcard to preview/PFL/cue tracks
 
So I bought the Virtual DJ Basic and would like to upgrade to the pro, How much to upgrade?
