I am new to VirtualDJ. I downloaded the Free version because I just want to do karaoke in my home for occasional parties. I have no song library and have been researching buying song packages to get started. I came across the Premium Membership section of this website and I am wondering if I can use it with the free home version and how can I create a songbook for my guests to choose the songs they want to sing? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Premium Membership/Grooveshark can be used with Home FREE, however it provides music only, not karaoke.
You would need to purchase karaoke music in MP3+G format or video (MPEG2/MP4) format from a suitable source such as http://www.singsunfly.com
VirtualDJ cannot create song books, but if you search Google for karaoke song book you will find some 3rd party software to do this.
NOTE: Video and karaoke in Home FREE is limited to a small window. For full-screen video and karaoke, the full VirtualDJ Profesisonal is required: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
