Topic: Track Causing Pitch Match

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hi Guys,

Didn't see anything on this one but I seem to have a track that is Pitch Matching every time I Crossfade to or from it.
It seems to be isolated to this one track and it's making me crazy trying to figure out if I did something to cause it. I am running the latest version and my Options seem to be set right. I also switched to the native skin to see if I could spot something but...

Any assistance would be much appreciated,
Thanks.

why not just use that one track, try to get another copy of that track and see if the same thing happens

Thanks for the reply!

This seems to be happening with the two latest tracks I've added to my library.
These tracks are Pitch Matching off each other and the setting is off and seem correct.
I made copies of the tracks but that didn't change anything.
The rest of my library is playing normally...
It's almost as if they are coded to Pitch Match?

can you post a video fo what is happening?

I do have a video.
How do I post it?
Do I have to join a Video Hosting site or something?

just post the youtube link here

Sorry for the delay in getting back...

Here is the video of the problem:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WongjBrMCkY

In the video I load deck 1 and 2, start playing deck 1, then when I Automix into deck 2, you can see the Pitch match.
I then show that my setting seem correct.

It just happened again for me using a video file and it's concerning.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

as soon as you open up vdj the next time, enable and then disable that pitch matching under options. if that doesnt work, try uninstall and then reinstalll vdj. dont worry, you wont lose your cues or bpm info.

Thanks again for your reply,

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a previous version of 7 and the Pitch Match situation remains.
It is as if some of the tracks in my library are coded to do this. I know that sounds strange but the tracks Pitch Match to and from other trcks when Automixing.
It just recently happened with a video and that really freaked me out.
I haven't tried to recreate that situation to figure out which video track is "infected".

All this happens to me when I'm going from deck to deck at home, not live.
My Emcee use is mostly by Playlist and I practice going from deck to deck at home to try to become better at mixing.
The Pitch Match problem has freaked me out and has me questioning the ability of the program to handle my library.
I would also not want to venture out into a creative session knowing that at any moment I might become surprised with trying to have to recover from an unexpected Pitch Match.

Could this be fixed in the registry, perhaps further disabling the disabled Pitch Match?

Help?!

i am not sure, i am stumped at this point, try contacting support here

Thanks for trying.

It wasnt clear in the video, so ... How did you move the crossfader? Did you use a midi controller, or a keyboard shortcut?

Are you using mix_now to make the automix?
In that case simply change that action with..
mix_now_nosync

In case you are wondering why did this happen to some tracks and not to all, mix_now will sync those two tracks if they have bpm difference inside the given pirtch range.

Thank You So Much djdad,

And Thanks for explaining.
I usually use a shortcut, so I'm good now but what about my skin...
If I use the Automix button on the V-Mix skin, I still get the Sync.
Would you happen to know how that might be fixed?

Shortcut fix rocked!
