Topic: Installed 7 now CPU usage is 75%

like my title says. with CUE 6.1 had no issues, except when used with Audio4DJ(another story), but now I have a great deal of CPU usage. disable wireless, on charger, in high performance. Need some help or a way to downgrade back to 6.1

Make sure that you have not maximised or resized the skin. Doing this may result in a significant increase in CPU usage depending on your graphics card's capabilities.

Use the skin at its correct native size or if it is not big enough, please use a custom skin that matches your screen size from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/skins.html
 
have not touched a thing since the upgraded. now after restarting my computer it seems to only jump frequently to 75%. still this behaviour was not present in my older version. more help would be great
 
my apologies. when you said maximize I thought you meant resolution not actuall maximizing the screen. this solved my problem thank you very much.

What is a good skin for widescreen? I choose widescreen but still there is about 1 1/2 inch per side
 
How do you set up Audio 4 dj? I am thinking of getting it and using it with cdn95 or shall I buy rmx Hercules?? Confused please help..? Plus my laptop dell studio windows 7 i5 doestnt have ASIO sounds awful too much distortion.. At the moment I'm using split jack phono straight to mixer channel 1 and 3. Also sound is still coming out from one channel when both decks are playing.

The best skin to use will be whatever matches your screen resolution. So go in to the change resolution option and take note of it, then change to the skin that matches in VDJ (or change your screen resolution to match one of the skins in VDJ.

I'm not sure about the Audio 4 dj, but I can speak a little about the Hercules. The unit is both a soundcard and midi controller, so you are able to use vdj well without the use of mouse and keyboard. It is a sturdy build and gives out good sound, many people love this little unit and it is currently at a reduced price due to the 4MX being released. I'd definately recommend it.

As far as the ASIO sound goes for windows, if your built in soundcard isn't ASIO you can download "ASIO4ALL" which basically emulates the sound driver and enables you to use lower latency settings.
