Inviato Sat 05 Mar 11 @ 5:32 pm
yeah im putting mic as input in the config...pushing the button on the RMX and checking the volume and making sure the button is highlighted and volume up in VDJ...obviously using the RMX soundcard...it has to be a simple dropdown somewhere i just cant navigate without a pathfinder...

...alright thanks guys...this is what is happening (and I am probably doing something very stupid):
Vista 64sp2
VDJ 7.02
RMX Driver 4 Package Installed
Windows Sound:
Playback: RMX working,
Recording: Line RMX working (other option is realtek mic which is working at the same time according to the volume meter but the volume meter next to the Line RMX shows nothing...obviously because I don't have a Line plugged in, I have a mic...?
VDJ:
Input: Microphone (As soon as I select this I get an error message about the ASIO driver that it is not connected or configured properly)
Output: Headphones (Master 1&2)
Sound Card: RMX (not RMX ASIO)
Broadcast: No option for Master + Mic
Autostart: Off
Format: MPEG with encoder
Server: Own puter
RMX:
Input: Mic 1-2
Advanced: USB Streaming 1-2 + Mic
Audio Mode: WDM (When I try to switch to ASIO and start VDJ it switches from ASIO to WDM)

Inviato Sun 06 Mar 11 @ 3:35 pm
...negative...even when i have the WDM option checked in the RMX settings...when i select microphone as input in VDJ the ASIO message comes up...arrrgggghhhhh.......
what does work is my M-Audio Transit sound card with a Headset Mic and Audacity....but that mic is garbage...looking forward to being able to use my sennheiser mic and VDJ...eventually broadcasting...can't figure out what i'm doing wrong....

...also...i get the ASIO error message when i boot VDJ even though the inputs are set at Line-ins...so i get the error message when I boot...and i get it again when i change input from Line to Mic...

VDJ need to be in ASIO in order to use the soundcard's input, be it for timecode or microphone.
Before anything, be sure to select Microphone for Input 1/2 in the DJ control panel.
Use the following configuration:
- Input : Microphone
- Output(s): Headphone
-Soundcard: DJ Console Rmx > check the box APPLY EQ ON INPUT ( which will switch the Rmx in ASIO)
Close VDJ. It should switch the control panel to WDM.
Launch VDJ, it shouold switch to ASIO automatically, and allow you to use the microphone by simply pressing the MIC button, and the signal can be recorded (you don<t need to select Master + Mic anymore).
Before anything, be sure to select Microphone for Input 1/2 in the DJ control panel.

You might want to delete, and re-install the RMX drivers. Also, what OS are you running? Vista/XP/W7?
