if i decide to one day make my own skin, which i hope i will, will i be able to have a video start on the press of a button?? or a flash video on the press of the button, or what?

You can already use a video plugin when there is no video played.
So you can already create a shortcut to open the video window with this video plugin.

no, i mean like make a skin, and have it like when u press play, the needle moves over onto the record, but like from a video source, so like me videorecording, a needle going onto the record, is it possibkleto get that video to play , when u hit the play button, which, will also of course start the song, and if not able to do it with a video, what about a flash movie, cuz i want to make a skin, from an actual real image, not a graphic

Only graphics from a .bmp file or .jpg file can be used to make a skin.

well why don't you look at the bmp file that is in the default skin. Looking by-yourself is sometimes better than asking!
