hate it when some people using TTs or Pioneer Setups makes fun of people using VDJ.

I make fun of people just using a laptop If I saw it in a club I'd boo them off (unless it's girltalk, that guy owns)... controllers are ok, but vinyl is way more fun and way more rewarding! LOL

Tonight I did a wedding using my VDJ and...wait for it...2 pioneer cdj 1000s, and pioneer mixer (djm 800 I believe).

My club gigs...

Vdj, denon controller, rane mp44 mixer, 2 pioneer cdj 1000s.

Vdj, denon controller, rane rotary, 2 pioneer dvj 1000s

Whoops! How'd that happen? Im replying via my phone. Sorry bout that mods. (Puzzled)

No problem, fixed :)

Why make fun of people if they are making their clientele happy and making money? With all of the options DJs have I don't think any one can tell someone else what they should be using as long as the people on the other side of the sound system are happy.

That's an ignorant statement.

Everybody has their own preferences for DJing. As long as they are not violating any licensing agreements in regards to software and/or music, then to each their own. If they want to use a netbook with VDJ for only samples and hand clap the beat over the microphone, that's their prerogative. The end result is heard and not seen, so use what works for you and keep your audience happy.

And to reply to the actual thread topic: As an owner of all 3 major DJ softwares... Yes, Virtual DJ is the best software on the market because of it's ease of use, endless features and complete customization.

Enjoy your turn tables.

And GirlTalk's falls more along the lines of a remixer not DJ, lol!

Huey
But he is one of my favorites! !

Seriously, if your not playing your own music and your not able to at least manipulate the sound with tactile control or have some kind of a performance, then your not really doing anything the automix and the playlist could do instead. and personally I find it annoying when un skilled"controllerists" press hot cues every 2 seconds thinking they are beat juggling, sure some can pull it off but most cant, but anyway I'm oldschool... I like to hear the music play, not someone who thinks there as good as andy golden. (less is more)
I guess I'm still ignorant and have learned nothing about acceptance, but i can sleep at night so it's okay :P
