I was wondering if you can install new effects to the ones which are present in the Hercules RMX version of Virtual DJ?
I tried the VDJ PRO 20 Day trial but it's no different to the basic one, literally nothing changed!

You will need to register your VirtualDJ Console Edition serial number to be able to download additional effects, skins, etc.: http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html
NOTE: The software that you received with your DJ Console is a free limited edition and does not allow custom skins, effects, etc. to be used or the program configuration options to be changed (Except during the 20 day trial of Pro.)
To be able to use custom skins, effects and much, much more you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional. Your VirtualDJ LE entitles you to a discount off the cost of upgrading. To receive this, please go to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and enter your software serial number in the box provided at the bottom of the page.
You can also try out Pro features in VirtualDJ v7 Home FREE by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html - This software will allow you to test your MIDI controller with it for 10 minutes at a time before reverting back to internal mouse and keyboard control only.

My equipment doesnt have a serial, the virtual dj disk does, should i enter that?
Inviato Mon 04 Apr 11 @ 2:42 pm
Yes, you must enter the serial number from the VirtualDJ installation CD that came with the console.
The serial is normally printed on the sleeve of the install CD.
The manufacturer's hardware serial number (On the console itself) cannot be registered with us.

If the software has already been registered to the previous owner then you cannot use it - it belongs to that person.

You paid for the console.
The bundled software is an LE version, which is included free of charge. Once registered, it cannot be transferred.

If you are referring to a Hercules RMX then you could try contacting Hercules and asking them for an LE version of VDJ.
The LE versions are supplied by the equipment manufacturer.
