Topic: Macbook Pro sound problem with Plantronics Headset

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have Vdj setup so the main audio feed to amplifier goes to speaker system, and the headphone audio the Plantronics Headset. As one side is playing, I would expect to preview the song to be played, but all I hear is scratches. In the VDJ settings, I setup the left input to main, and the 3rd input to headphones.

I cannot isolate the inactive (mixed out) song to put into headphones. I do have the free version, is this the case where the free version doesn't allow me the capability to preview the next song? Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround?

When using two different sound cards on a Mac, you may get this issue if the two cards have different capabilities (E.g: 44100 Hz for one card and 48000 Hz for the other.)

To check and change the formats, go to Applications > Utilities > Audio and MIDI Setup

Choose each sound card and check that its format is set to the same sample and bit rate.

The following is recommended:

44100 Hz and 2ch-16bit

NOTE: For live performance, a proper dedicated multichannel DJ sound card is recommended, such as Numark DJIO or Native Instuments Audio 2 DJ. For this, you will need to purchase either VirtualDJ Basic or the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

NOTE: VirtualDJ Home FREE is for non-commercial use at home only using your mouse and keyboard to mix. It cannot be used at DJ gigs where you are being paid. For this, you will need to purchase a VirtualDJ product.

hello!

i have the same issue with mine, and it's impossible to change either the 48000hz to 44100hz or the 2ca 16bits.

It only give's you to choose the 48000hz only and nothing else.

need some more suggestions please if someone else can help!!

In that case it is not compatible.

For best results, you will ideally need a proper dedicated DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO, Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ, etc.
