Hello All,

New for working with DJ software I downloaded Virtual DJ 7.03
After some time spending the working and play with it I found some annoying things all to do with how to organize music and play lists.

To give some examples:

After giving a search item I get some results for artist or title, now I want to send each item into different playlist or place .
What happen is that after dragging that item to a playlist that specific playlist opens en my search request is empty. Every time I must enter again the same search string to be able to continue my work.
Why not leave my search as it is and only open the playlist or folder when click on it?

Why it is not possible to add or import play lists from Winamp and add or remove music from it?
Load to playlist or merge to playlist is not working

Virtual folders are nice but I hate they all are gone after restart from the program, many data is lost who can be very handy later.

In the most Played lists are duplicates from played files, no way to remove those or cleanup that database

I miss a extra window to use to sort music as in the windows system is possible

I like the File operations possibilities please add some extras to it as make a new folder or rename folders and so on

Please put more attention to the file system and make things better in it

The file system in VDJ takes some getting used to but it really is an amazing set-up once you get working with it regularly. The team did update the file system with the release of version 7 by adding batch operations, additional ID3 tagging fields, and the folder system.

VDJ can integrate with iTunes but not with media player or winamp.

My virtual folders are there every time I fire up the software. What version are you using? There may be limitations depending on your version.

As for your issues with other file management in regards to making it work how Windows operates; it does, but it just doesn't do everything like windows. If it did it would be called Microsoft DJ or something like that. It is 3rd party software and the Atomix team has put a lot of effort into it to make it as user friendly as possible.

Once you play around with the file system for extended periods, you'll become more accustomed to it and will find it much easier to navigate.

Regards.
AC
