Topic: Need help in master volume level and bass overlaps

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I posted this in Djing, but hoping this gets more bites. Thanks

Hello. Using the Home version, and love the product. However, two things I'm still trying to fine tune, and hoping you guys can help me out. Keep in mind I do not use any external mixing items; just the program and my ears

1) Master Volume Control: I'm using Sennheiser HD 25-1 II cans, which I love, but nevertheless, there are times the volumes of the songs are not equal, and it's hard for me to "cap" the volume. Applications like Traktor have a Master Volume control (the one that affects the final recording; not the mix or headphone volumes) which puts the music at a constant level. Does VDJ have anything like that? I want my mix to end up with a flow that doesn't bounce the listener from one level to another (like commercials do for your TV). I use NERO to go back and modify areas I think the volumes go up and down, and for the most part it's good, but wishing VDJ would do it automatically.

2) Bass levels. One of the reasons I went with a nice headphone. I mix mostly Dubstep, House, Trance, Electro, Hardstyle, etc. Though I can hear the bass levels pretty well with my cans, it doesn't take out the "extra" bass that occurs while mixing two predominant bass line songs. When they overlap, it puts the bass at a slight distorted range, which again I have to go back on NERO and fix. Are there any settings or add ons I can use that will keep the bass from going over a certain level? I just discovered some of the skins in the Home version, and they have cut offs for highs, mids, and bass, but not sure if this would really solve my issue.

Please check out my mixes at http://www.mixcloud.com/chris-yakubovsky/ and let me know what you think of them, as well as if you have any suggestions for my issues.

Thanks!
