Hi all!
I was just wondering if somebody could tell me if this set up would work together before I buy all the equipment!
- 2 Stanton T.52B Turntables
- 1 Numark M2 Mixer
- 2 Rane Serato Scratch LIVE - Second Edition Control Vinyl Records
- Some sort of USB sound card, do I need one? I don't care about listening to the tracks while music is playing, I'm just wondering if one is necessary if I want to hear my music.. and would a cheap one like a Numark DJiO work?
- And of course Virtual DJ
If anyone could help me out here and tell me if all these equipment pieces would mesh together that would be GREAT!
Thanks!!!

That will all work if you purchase a soundcard that has inputs and outputs such as the NI Audio 8. VDJ will not work with an analogue system unless you purchase a soundcard that can turn it into a digital signal. There are plenty of timecode users that have set-ups such as this. Something like the DJ I/O doesn't support inputs from analogue units so you'll have to spend a bit more money on an audio interface.

Thank you for your input. Would the Gemini IConnex work as a sound card?

I don't believe so. I know very little about that model but it looks to be single input.

A low budget sound card choice for timecode use, would be the Maya44USB.
